My name is Heidi Samuelson. I am in my 30s. I have a PhD in philosophy and occasionally I teach. Like everyone with a blog, I am a writer.
My poisons of choice are television, coffee, and college basketball. I am skeptical of truth claims, politics, and the unbridled accumulation of wealth. I have a healthy respect for the octopus, Bruce Springsteen, and the sheer geekiness of Karl Urban’s CV. I am prone to hyperbole.
About this blog:
This is mostly a collection of things I think about too much and feel the need to write about, usually relating to pop culture, music, writing, sociopolitical issues, and philosophy, and how all of these things get wrapped up in conceptions of self-identity.
Occasionally I include bits of my fiction writing.
